The Mullestein Winter Garden displays plants that are interesting in all seasons, including long Ithaca winters. Plantings are chosen for their colorful winter bark,
unusual growth habits, winter fruit or evergreen foliage. Shrubby dogwoods, willows, birches,
hawthorns, and dwarf and midsize conifers are among the plants you will find in this garden.
This is the newest addition to our botanical garden. Although many of the plants are young, our horticultural staff has worked hard to make the Winter Garden's first winter a memorable one.
The Mullestein Winter Garden is a gift of Whitey Mullestein '32.
