Cornell Plantations' principal collections and display gardens are located
adjacent to the Cornell University campus in Ithaca, NY. They include 50 acres of
botanical collections, a 150-acre arboretum and extensive natural areas surrounding
Beebe Lake, Fall Creek, and Cascadilla Creek.

Garden, continue on Caldwell Road until the 2nd stop sign (down the hill, past the Arboretum entrance). The Mundy Wildflower Garden entrance is on the left at the stop sign.
From Rte 79 W (follow the pink dots  for the Botanical Gardens)
From the South-- Binghamton, NYC, Pennsylvania, NJ
Turn right at the light at Pine Tree Rd.
Pass one light, then turn right onto Rte 366 at a 4 way stop.
Make a quick left onto Judd Falls Rd.
Pass two stop signs (Campus Rd and Tower Rd.), then turn right onto a ramp.
At the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto Plantations Road.
Pass through an underpass.
Turn right into the Plantations entrance.
For the Arboretum, follow the above directions but turn left at the bottom of the ramp onto Plantations Road. Continue on Plantations Road and cross Caldwell Road to enter the Arboretum. For the Mundy Wildflower Garden, turn left on Caldwell Road and continue for approximately 100 feet. The entrance to the Mundy Wildflower Garden is on the left at the stop sign.
From Rte 79 E (follow the blue dots  for the Botanical Gardens)
From the NW-- Rochester
Follow Rte 79 E through town and up the hill.
Pass a light at Stewart St. and turn left on Rte 366 (Ithaca Rd.).
Follow Rte 366 through a few sharp bends, one light and a four way stop, to the second light.
At the second light, turn left on Judd Falls Rd.
Pass two stop signs (Campus Rd and Tower Rd.), then turn right onto a ramp.
At the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto Plantations Road.
Pass through an underpass.
Turn right into the Plantations entrance.
For the Arboretum, follow the above directions but turn left at the bottom of the ramp onto Plantations Road. Continue on Plantations Road and cross Caldwell Road to enter the Arboretum. Planning the Trip
The closest bus stop to the Plantations is at the Cornell Dairy Bar. The buses that stop at the Dairy Bar can be found at the TCAT Bus webpage that lists the routes that serve the Cornell Dairy Bar stop. The TCAT Bus homepage can be used to plan the journey from a point of origin to the Dairy Bar.
From the Cornell Dairy Bar
Continue on Tower Road to the four way intersection between Tower Rd. and Judd Falls Road. Turn left on Judd Falls Rd. Continue on Judd Falls past the parking lot and down the hill. Turn left and go down the set of steps on the left to get to the Botanical Gardens.
For the Mundy Wildflower Garden, turn right and cross Judd Falls Road. The gravel path leads into the Mundy Wildflower Garden. For the Arboretum, walk through the Mundy Wildflower Garden and continue along the gravel road on the other side until the four way intersection between Forest Home Road, the gravel road, and Caldwell Rd. Turn right on Caldwell Road and walk approximately 100 ft. The entrance to the Arboretum
is on the left.
Walking Directions to Cornell Plantations
From North Campus
Cross over Beebe Dam on the Triphammer Foot bridge. Walk East along the
path that parallels Forest Home Drive on the Beebe Lake side.
At the clearing for the Class of '36 Overlook, cross Forest Home Drive to
Plantations Road.
A short path on the left leads to the Plantations driveway.
For the Mundy Wildflower Garden, continue up the Plantations driveway and through the Botanical Gardens. Climb the steps and cross Judd Falls Road. The gravel path leads to the Mundy Wildflower Garden. To get to the Newman Arboretum, continue through Mundy Wildflower Garden and onto a gravel road. Upon reaching a four way intersection between the gravel road, Forest Home Road, and Caldwell Road, turn right and continue on Caldwell for approximately 100 feet. The entrance to the Newman Arboretum is on the left.
From Main Campus
Walk East on Tower Road to Garden Ave. Turn left onto Garden Ave.
Make a right into the driveway between Martha Van Rensselaer Hall and the Computing and Communications Center.
A sign marks where the Plantations Path leads into a wooded area. Follow the Plantations Path
past the Deans Garden, turn right at a T in the path. Cross Plantations Road (paved).
Another very short stretch of wooded path leads to the Plantations driveway.
